Where is my Country Doctor?

So today I call the pediatrician...and call, and call, and call, and call....finally get through. 
Here is our conversation...edited for expletives....oh yea, they were in my head, which happened to blow off during this!
Me :  She has a fever, has been sick, something is going on I say.

Pediatrician's office:  No appointments today

Me:  Okay, calmly, how about tomorrow?

Pediatrician's office:   Call tomorrow morning at 8am and leave a message...someone will call you back...we don't make appointments a day in advance since most times people don't show up!

Me:  Ooooookay   

This is ridiculous! Expletive, Expletive...head blows off......

Am I asking for too much?  I just want a doctor that sees patients...you know, isn't that what they do?

We have gone back and forth with our pediatrician for 3-4 months now.  J Girl has been sick on and off for that long...and I can't remember the last time this poor kid has not had a cough.

So we took her to our family doctor....who happened to see her right away even though she is not a patient.  He sent her for a chest x-ray immediately, which happened to be negative...no pneumonia.

We also have a script for a pulmonary specialist...maybe asthma...and an allergist.

He also put her on Albuterol for the nebulizer.

But the pediatrician.....still waiting to call tomorrow at 8am for an appointment......yea right!

So here is a pic of her with her nebulizer...tomorrow we get the appointment with the pulmonologist.

I would be so mad! One reason I picked our pediatrician was because she worked in a big practice. They were open 365 days a year when we started there. Of course holidays were sick visit only. They are no longer open every single day, but they are still good about working you in. Glad you were able to get her in to the family MD. I hope your appointment with the pulmonologist went well.

That is too funny about the monster jam, the playgroup in the outside hallways! Sorry you missed the show! Maybe an outdoor place would be better (?? if it wasn't already outdoors)
